They will be at two schools in the Edmonton area before heading north. Today they are at Mundare School for morning and afternoon sessions and tomorrow they will be at Fort Saskatchewan Christian School for morning and afternoon sessions. These sessions are only open to the students.

On Sunday, they will be ministering in the morning service at High Level Full Gospel and the evening service at High Level Christian Fellowship. These services are open to the public.

On Monday, they will be at Meander River Reserve for a concert for the whole community and Tuesday they will be at the Spirit of the North School in High Level for a concert / assembly.

Everyone involved is excited about this tour. Jonathan, Kris and Bill are looking forward to interacting with and meeting the people along the journey. They hope that as many as are able will come out to meet them.

They were very encouraged by the response in the various villages they traveled to. Jonathan shares “This was a powerful journey along the Iditarod with a great team. There are so many things to share. After our last night at Anchorage, a lady came up to me and said “I was at your concert last night and I am not a religious person but I agree with everything you said and everything you did.” She wanted to know how she could make a difference herself. Also a young man came up to me and said “You really inspired me to make a difference.”

Broken Walls was pleased to see a lot of change in the children and youth. There was a visibly evident respect for parents, educators and elders. We are so proud of Bill because of the work that he is doing to bring hope and change to the communities of Alaska and Jonathan and Kris are honoured to partner with ‘Carry the Cure’ and be a part of a catalyst for change with the love of Jesus.

Please continue to stand with Broken Walls as they prepare to travel to California and Nevada. They will be reaching out to native communities, halfway houses, schools, churches and prisons. Below are some quotes from a newsletter from our good friends, Bruce and Donna Bartelli, Mission Wounded Knee.

They write: “…Our first two evenings encompassed a return to South Dakota State Penitentiary after 2 years. Our first concert was at Lighthouse Prison Fellowship hosted by Chaplains Regan and Becky Beauchamp. Over 163 inmates, Chaplain guests, guards and others were present to hear Broken Walls. Doug (one of the inmates) put on his Lakota regalia and danced his prayers to Jesus during Broken Walls’ concert. He danced for those he loves, his fellow inmates and the Lakota people. It brought great dignity to the whole night as did the Lakota drum group who opened the evening with a couple of honor songs. As Doug and several MKW team members danced their prayers, the Holy Spirit moved through the songs of Broken Walls. Many inmates tried to hold back tears as the Spirit of Adoption brought many to salvation, healing and restoration in Christ…”

“…On Friday, we were hosted by Pastor Steve and Diane Moerman at Cornerstone Prison church located in the main prison facility chapel. The Lakota drum group led off this evening with an Honor song. Both nights, Norma Blacksmith prayed for the outreaches in her Lakota language, and then gave a short testimony and encouragement to the men. The chapel held 200 inmates and Chaplain guests as Broken Walls played and Jonathan brought a message of dignity, respect and honor. Jonathan challenged the men to step up as ‘real warriors’ by taking their place as fathers and husbands, and honoring their wives and children. Many tears came as decisions were made to walk the Holy Road with Jesus. We were honored as Lakota inmate, Shane danced in his regalia honoring Jesus and dancing his prayers. The intercession through the dance was powerful both nights!” – Bruce and Donna Bartelli
